Batman 138: Sea Beast

The Caped Crusaders investigate reports of a giant sea monster that has attacked two ships and caused the disappearance of passengers. Batman and Robin don scuba gear and shoot the monster with spear guns, but it whips about and bounces away. Soon a masked man called Kadar appears, claiming to be able to anticipate Batman's every move.

Sea Beast

Sea Beast is a nifty retelling of the bog standard monster-on-the-loose film that delivers some well-crafted action scenes and an excellent cast. Director Chris Williams (Big Hero 6, Moana) pays homage to the action-packed adventure flicks of his childhood, including Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas and Treasure Planet.

The world of sea monster hunters is a swashbuckling one, where brave sailors journey across the ocean in search of creatures that lurk below the surface. Jacob Holland (Karl Urban) is an especially famous hunter who has recently gained the attention of young orphan Maisie Brumble (Zaris-Angel Hator), who wants to join him and slay giant sea monsters in her own right.

The Sea Beast is a beautiful film that tells a meaningful story while also entertaining and engaging younger audiences, a rare feat these days. Its messages about heroism and sacrifice, the complex nature of war and peace, the importance of family, and the subjectivity of history all come together to create a compelling story that reaches a wide audience.

Simple Simon

Simon is a TikTok star who works in the East Sussex area. He is also a football coach and social media influencer, as well as a mental health advocate.

Simon has Asperger's syndrome and does not like change. He lives with his brother Sam and his girlfriend Frida.

His relationship with Frida ends when she leaves him for a younger man. He struggles to cope with her departure, and eventually finds a new girl to fall in love with.

Simon commits two crimes using the rhyme that bears his name as a motif. The first involves buying pies from a county fair and pitching them into a garbage can. The second is a crime at a winter resort, where he smashes into the hotel with a giant snowball and attempts to steal the prize money.

Tiger Gang

Tiger Gang is the largest gang in the jungle. They are not afraid of killing, robbing or drug deals to make a living.

They also don’t have any remorse, regrets or fear for their own lives. It is a way to feel the thrill of death and to have a good time.

The gang’s members are well-versed in street kung fu and martial arts. This is a major reason they are able to fight so well.

When not fighting crime, the gang tries to protect its Asian community in Night City from any marauders. But they do not always succeed.

They have multiple factions in a variety of districts. These include: Watson District, Westbrook District, Japantown, Charter Hill and Kabuki.

Kadar

Tal-Dar, Chief of the Interplanetary Space Police, visits Earth and joins batman138 and Robin in nabbing several thieves. He also makes a big media splash by exclaiming that he hoped to learn from the Dynamic Duo.

Meanwhile, Tal-Dar receives a message from the planet Alcor, revealing that asteroid tyrant Zan-Rak has stolen the Star-Stone, which is said to have salubrious energy. With his partner, he travels the cosmos to the asteroid to battle the villain on his asteroid fortress.

In the meantime, Kanjar Ro secretly escapes from his meteor prison on Rann and has relocated to the planet, where he's become a mind-controlled lab assistant for Adam Strange. He has also been experimenting with a Gamma Metal Gong that freezes entire planets.

In a surprise turn of events, Batman discovers that Kadar is actually the robot that he and Robin built. Thanks to a boost in sentience after the "rocket ram" incident, Batman realizes that he and his robotic sidekick are now an actual telepathic connection.
